INTD 276: Studio II-Interior Architecture & Design

Application of design process to small residential & non-residential interior design projects. Design solutions communicated using hand drafting /drawing and technology through AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape and Adobe and Bluebeam.

Studio II project focused on two main projects. The first being a work/live where students were given the shell of a 3 story building where the first floor serves as a maker space/retail space and the upper floor as their residence. This project is a test of their space planning skills as they learned to to make the most out of tight space while still meeting the program requirements. They developed the space planning in AutoCAD and then finished out the project using Sketch-Up and Enscape.

The second and final project was a small commercial project. With a focus on developing a multi generational space the students created a community hub. The students were giving the option to locate their project in their hometown or a place they had lived or spent time in. This became one of my favorite parts about the project. It was so much fun seeing the diverse list of places across the country and world.
